Series Premiere “Down the Rabbit Hole” promo

‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ casts Iggy Pop!

From EW.comIggy Pop in Wonderland? Fits! If you’re going down the psychedelic rabbit hole, you wouldn’t be too surprised to stumble across the punk rock godfather.

Iggy will play the voice of The Caterpillar in ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

“But wait!” you cry. Isn’t the hookah-smoking mushroom-perched insect voiced by another rock god — Roger Daltrey? He was when Once Upon a Time visited Wonderland. But we’re told Daltrey wasn’t available for the new series so the part was recast.

Other Wonderland character voices include John Lithgow as the White Rabbit and veteran actor Keith David, who was recently cast as the voice of the Cheshire Cat.

Unknown Character

Co-stars: Emma was joined by fellow up-and-coming actresses Lauren McKnight, who plays a mystery character and Sophie Lowe (Alice) on set

Who could this possibly be? The actress is 24 year old Lauren McKnight. She was pictured on set with Emma Rigby. Dressed in leather pants and carrying a knife who could this mysterious character be from Alice in Wonderland folklore or is it a character from another world? All that’s known about her is that she is close to Emma’s Red Queen.

Behind The Scenes: Costumes

Once Upon A Time: Wonderland began filming a few weeks ago in Vancouver since then little has been relased from the set picturewise. The following two pictures show both Emma Rigby (The Red Queen) and Sophie Lowe (Alice) in 2 of what I am sure will be many costumes the two young actresses will wear throughout the series.

Wonderland: Sophie's character, older than the traditional Alice, is transported back to her time in Wonderland

Keith David to voice ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ Cheshire Cat
